What is a Garden & Handyperson?

A Garden and Handyperson is someone who has the necessary skills and training to service general home and backyard maintenance tasks. A Garden and Handyperson will work to keep your home in suitable living conditions that ensure you are comfortable. They will achieve this by repairing, replacing and maintaining any areas in need of quality upkeep and care.

A Garden and Handyperson can assist you with:

Backyard & garden tasks including:

  • General tidying and sorting 
  • Lawn mowing
  • Pruning and weeding 
  • Whipper snipper
  • Gutter cleaning 
  • Hedge trimming

 

House & interior tasks including:

  • Patching holes in walls
  • Fixing fences and doors
  • Fixing tap/shower leaks 
  • Replacing flyscreens
  • Furniture assembly 
  • Installations (such as setting up a TV or hanging art on the wall)
  • Small painting jobs.
Who needs it?

Anyone who requires a helping hand with general maintenance tasks around their home. This may include people who:

  • Require assistance in physically laborious tasks, such as gardening. 
  • Require assistance in repairing/replacing home damages, such as broken flyscreens. 
  • Don’t have access to the right tools or equipment. 
  • Don’t have the time or availability.
What do I need in my plan?

To access Garden and Handy-person services with an NDIS plan, you will need to have core funding available.

What does Liberty offer?

Liberty Disability Services offers gardening and handyperson services to all NDIS participants across Victoria. Our on site handyman has a range of experience in all areas of gardening and home maintenance. He is available to work flexible hours and eager to offer his helping hand in caring for your home.

What does it cost?
